Facing the vast Olympic Park in Seoul, the Obzee Project serves as the new headquarters for the brand’s multiple fashion lines. Located along Gangdong Boulevard, the site is wedged between two existing buildings, sharing a party wall with the office building to the east, while remaining apart from the current headquarters. The expansion envisions a bridge that connects the new and existing buildings, with a narrow void between them that allows light and air to flow, creating a space for visual and spatial communication. The building organizes its expanded studio and event spaces vertically. Each program, studios, shared areas, and interactive zones, is closely linked to foster collaboration between departments. Individual design studios are connected to their respective tailoring and sewing workshops through double-height shared spaces that promote openness and exchange. Inspired by the sartorial technique of pleating, the building’s mass folds upward, capturing light from multiple directions and forming an organic dialogue with its surroundings. The lobby extends the city’s sidewalk into a public runway and event space, where fashion, architecture, and the city come together to create a new urban experience.
