Strata Loop House stands in Paju Book City as the headquarters for Youngjin.com, a publishing company that values open communication. Originally known for its practical and IT oriented publications, Youngjin.com sought to move beyond the traditional boundaries of publishing, expanding into digital content, e-commerce, software, and online education. This evolving identity is expressed in a building form that embodies both horizontal communication and vertical expansion. The project occupies a transitional point within Paju Book City, where the Spine Type zone along the main urban axis meets the Canal Lofts Type following a narrow stream through the wetland. The building responds to this context through a composition of shifted and twisted volumes, each slightly rotated to create a continuous loop structure that weaves together horizontal and vertical movements. Ultimately, the building captures the process of a publisher expanding toward new media and new modes of communication. Inside, light, views, and circulation naturally intersect, while the interplay between exposed concrete and transparent glass conveys the tension between technology and emotion, openness and focus.
